Our mission is to provide quality care to our community and have the capability to meet the needs of our customers with a variety of services. Our responsibilty to our patients is to provide quality services by wheelchair, basic life support, advanced life support and critical care services.
Services
Emergency Transports and Transfers
Our primary responsibility is to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS)Emergency care to the residents of our response area, along with assisting other transporting services in surrounding communities. We also have the responsibility in providing emergency and critical care transfers from Bronson Lakeview Hospital to other hospitals.

Currently we staff two ALS ambulances 24 hours a day and one ALS ambulance 14 hours per day. These ambulances are staffed at minimum with one EMT-Paramedic and one EMT.

Non-Emergency Ambulance Transports
We also offer non-emergency transfer from facility to facility, facility to patients home, and patients home to facility for bed confined patients or patients that are in need of medical monitoring during the transfer.

Transportation Plus! Wheelchair Van Services
We are proud to offer transportation for travelers with limited mobility in specially designed Para transit vans.

The Para transit vans can accommodations for travelers:

We offer door to door services to and from:

  • Hospitals

  • Special Events such as home for a day, Graduations, etc
Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm (other days and times available by appointment)

VBEMS uses the best equipment available with the manufactured followed updates, recertifications and maintenance programs. Just an example of our equipment is:

Electronic Patient Care Reports (ePCR)
Patient Care Records documentation of all ambulance transports on the Zoll Data Systems “Rescue Net” program
  • This user friendly documentation program provides seamless integration the from the documentation laptop to the billing departments software
  • The Rescue Net program also allows for the Cardiac Monitor information to be attached to the ePCR

Stryker Power Cots
Reduces the risk of injury to the EMT’s and Paramedic’s by dramatically reducing strenuous lifting and associated back injures

Reduces the risk to the patient by allowing two VBEMS team members on one end of the cot to “load” patient in the rear compartment of the ambulance instead of the normal one on each end

Provides safe and effective means of providing artificial ventilations

Provides an effective treatment in Congestive Heart Failure CHF and Pneumonia patients dramatically reducing the incidences of patients requiring endotracheal intubation.
